STAMBHA Holistic Massage is a massage method that approaches body, mind and spirit as a whole using all of our senses to perceive. Holistic here means that the massage therapist’s awareness includes all layers of the human being they are with.
So, we offer to work with the physical body as well as with the energetic field combining our knowledge and intuition, being present and mindful in our touch. Our goal is to empower the being we are with to meet their intrinsic healer. We approach that being with respect and love. STAMBHA Holistic Massage is based on welcoming people as they are; as a massage therapist we welcome them as a spiritual being and bow to the essence within them. We consider healing work as a path and a journey, not a destination. So we enjoy the trip together fully!

Peter Stalder is the founder of STAMBHA Holistic Massage School and the method. He has been training massage therapists for several years in Classical/Swedish Massage and Esalen Massage. After years of experience, he then created his own holistic method and approach to massage, also integrating his knowledge and experience of energy work and yoga.
In his work as a massage therapist Peter wants to create space where healing can happen. When teaching massage and yoga, he wants to create space where participants have the opportunity to expand their boundaries, to get in touch with the physical and energetic body in a loving way.

STAMBHA Holistic Massage Workshops and Trainings are offered generally in-person and sometimes online as well. For in-person participations, we meet at our STAMBHA Headquarter Temple which serves as STAMBHA LIFE ACADEMY CENTER in the beautiful city of Zurich.
