Bansuri Flute Concert with Jacopo Pacifico, Zurich Switzerland

Bansuri Flute Concert with Jacopo Pacifico, Zurich Switzerland

October 7th, 17:00-18:00

Jacopo Pacifico graduated in bansuri (Indian flute) with full marks and honors at the Conservatory of Music "A. Pedrollo" in Vicenza (Italy), then specializes with distinction at the Banaras Hindu University, Faculty of Performing Arts in the holy city of Varanasi (India). For five years he lives absorbed into the culture of one of the most important cities - both on the spiritual and musical level - of the Indian subcontinent, and his music reflects as wonderfully as profoundly, the dense devotional atmosphere of this rare experience. Currently, he continues to undertake the guidance of legendary flutist Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia (an icon of Indian classical music) as well as performing throughout Italy and Europe (Palace of Nations, Geneva 2017; Bhakti Yoga Festival, Florence 2016; University of Barcelona 2015 etc.). Now, he lives on the hills of Reggio Emilia (Italy), in the charming medieval village of Votigno di Canossa, where he teaches and brings forward internationally important cultural and musical projects.
