Ania Ligęza-O’Connor is a yoga teacher at Yoga School at Stambha Life Academy. From her earliest youth she always wanted to become a teacher and everything in her life has led her and is still leading to sharing knowledge that she feels passionate about. After finishing her master’s degree in Poland almost 25 years ago, she became a teacher of English as a Second Language and this was her profession for many years. Languages and different methods of learning them are still a passion and great interest for Ania.
Almost 20 years ago she was introduced to yoga and that became her new passion, but it wasn’t until 2014 when she started thinking of becoming a yoga teacher. She completed her first 200h teacher training when she moved to Greece in 2018 (200H Hatha Yoga by Yoga Alliance Professionals in the UK). At that time, she was introduced to Ezgi Taslidere- Fisher and Stambha and in 2019 received her yoga teacher certificate from Stambha (RYT200 Anusara Yoga by Yoga Alliance and Anusara School of Hatha Yoga).
The time at Stambha changed her life and gave a new dimension in her personal and professional growth. Wanting to continue her journey, Ania completed 300H Teacher Training with Stambha in December 2024 in addition to attending workshops and courses on many yoga topics. Her particular interests are yoga anatomy, trauma informed yoga, adaptive yoga and philosophy of yoga. In her classes, she incorporates many aspects of yoga to show how they apply to the various aspects of everyday modern life.
She feels fortunate to have spent several years in four different countries — Germany, Greece, the United States and Poland — and this diversity of experience has helped her understand the various needs of people of different ages and following dissimilar paths in life, as well as given her the opportunity to employ various teaching approaches and tools to serve her students. Her aim and aspiration is to show that yoga, with its vastness of philosophy, teachings and asana practice, can help people cope with our fast-paced, stressful and frequently unhealthy lifestyles. Most importantly however, yoga has been a tool to enrich her own growth. Yoga has brought Ania to harmony with her inner self, guided and keeps guiding her through life.
How can I serve you?
